INS Mysore is a Delhi-class guided-missile destroyer currently in active service with the Eastern Naval Command, headquartered at Visakhapatnam.
Construction
INS Mysore was built at Mazagon Dock Limited in Mumbai. Her keel was laid down in February 1991 and she was commissioned on 2 June 1999. The ship is named after the city of Mysore in Karnataka and is the second ship of the Delhi class.
Service History
Throughout her service, INS Mysore has participated in numerous naval exercises and operations, including anti-piracy patrols in the Gulf of Aden and cooperative deployments with foreign navies. She has been a key asset in the Eastern Fleet's operational capabilities.
